Rehabilitation of blind- Lions Club and Famiyocart.com initiative in Kannur
As a part of rehabilitation of the blind project, Lions Club International District 318E , Lions Club of Pilathara inaugurated fish farming at Ashraya self help group Mathamangalam,. In association with this project famiyocart.com implanted fish seeds in fish tank. The founders of famiyocart.com, has been involved in many charitable and social responsible activities in and around pilathara for the last four years effectively. Now in association with Lions Club famiyocart.com plans to maintain the fish cultivation at Asraya self help group. The project aims at making approximately 35 blind inmates of Asraya self reliant. Asraya self help group began their services before 17 years at Mathamangalam, Kannur. From the Asraya unit cleaning liquids and notebooks are manufactured and sold under the brand name Inspire. Lions club 378E chapter associate with famiyocart.com to support the activities of Asraya by setting up fish cultivation unit here. The funding partner is Lions Club and the implementation partner is famiyocart.com-an initiative of Nitrogrow Cultivation.
The program was inaugurated by Lions Club President Sidharthan Vannarath, and Asryaya authorities Raveendran P.V., Sobhana K.E, and representative of Inspire Unni Puthoor addressed the meeting. Lions executives Ramachandran. M, Yousuf Angadiyil, Sadanadan A.K., famiyocart.com M.D. Shanil Cheruthazham also participated in the function. The all inmates of Asraya were energized and motivated in beginning of such a needy activity which supports them to stand front of the society with self esteem and proud.
